Ivory Lace Ann Taylor Denielle Wedding Dress Size 16 Bust - approximately 40" Waist - approx 37" Hips - approx 44" zipper length - 16 1/2" Brand New With Tags, But Looks Like It Is Vintage Ann Taylor's Description A strapless silk bridal gown with delicate floral lace overlay. Covered buttons all along back center of gown. Internal boning at bust for structure and support. Ivory grosgrain inner waistband. Fully lined in silk charmeuse. Hidden back zip closure. * 100% Silk * Imported * Professionally Dry Clean * Style #210097 My Description Cut out lace flowers with an embroidered outline. Centers of some flowers are 3- dimensional. Solid lining underneath. Lining is attached at hem. I believe this dress is a true size 16, not a bridal size 16. But anyone who knows about wedding dresses, knows that most dresses have to be altered for the big day. That is why I have listed the size range from a 12-18. I am normally a size 12 and I was going to have it taken in to fit me appropriately. This dress is made in panels so it could have been taken in all the around without it compromising the style of the dress. I was even exploring the possibility of taking some of the fabric off of the top and raising the waistline to be more of an empire waist. It's kind of like hemming it from the top rather than the bottom. Another idea I had, was if I hem the dress from the bottom, taking the extra fabric to make lace like straps or epaulets. Very possible if you're short and need to take off a lot of inches. I measured the dress length to be 57" long.I am a seamstress myself so I may be talking in a lingo you might not understand so please feel free to ask any questions. You see, this dress has so much potential. I have taken pictures of some ideas I was exploring. Adding a waistband, adding straps, making the waist empire, adding a splash of color. The base of the dress is the perfect palette to do lots of creative styles. This is some of the most beautiful and original fabric I have ever seen! This dress closely resembles the J Crew Fleur Dress at half of the price. Please note that this dress does not come with anything additional. So now you're probably wondering why I didn't wear this dress if I love it so much. I bought 2 dresses for my wedding and went with the other one because it was more beachy and I had a beach wedding. I feel like this Ann Taylor dress is the perfect church dress or indoor dress. It has an amazing vintage feel with covered buttons all the way down the back. Don't worry though, they are just for show. There is an invisible zipper. The color of the lace is not a bright white giving it a more timeless feel.
